Privacy Policy for Who’s That?

Effective Date: August 31, 2025

Who’s That? (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the App.

Information We Collect

Images (User-Provided): Only the photos/screenshots you manually choose for actor recognition are processed.
Temporary Processing: The chosen image is sent securely to our recognition service, processed transiently, and not stored after a result is returned.
Local Data (Optional): If you enable Save History, only your local search history is stored on your device. You can clear it anytime in Settings → Clear All Data.
Photos Library: We never write to your photo library unless you explicitly choose Share → Save Image for the rendered Share Card.

Images are transmitted over HTTPS and processed transiently by the recognition service.
We do not store, sell, or share your images or personal data on our servers after recognition is complete.
The optional Share Card is saved to your Photos only when you explicitly choose Save Image from the share sheet.

We do not create or retain face templates or persistent biometric identifiers.
The image is used only to compute an actor match and then discarded immediately after processing.

You may request deletion of any associated data by contacting chubbyninjascompany@gmail.com.
You can clear local history anytime: Settings → Clear All Data.

We use the TMDB API for filmography data and images.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
TMDB receives only the actor/metadata queries; your uploaded images are not sent to TMDB.

The App is intended for a general audience and not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
